As Queer Africans that navigate, specifically Austria and the world at large, in a way that is ambivalent due to the multiple layers of identities that put us in intersecting space that is being oppressed by different forms of dominances, celebrating and/or RIOTING at PRIDE has countless manifestation to us.

In the special PRIDE program, ARA invites you to our candid conversation that canvasses these multiple manifestations of PRIDE, what they mean to us and how we explore them.

Moderator: Faris Cuchi Gezahegn (them/them/theirs) is an intersectional LGBTQIA* advocate/activist, a performance artist, PCCC standup comedian, and poet.

Panelist: Henrie Dennis (she/her/hers) is a Nigerian-born human rights activist who continuously works on improving the lives and realities of LGBTIQ+ communities in Africa as a continent, Austria, and the diaspora. she is the Executive Director of Afro Rainbow Austria.

Panelist: Oluchukwu Akusinanwa (he/him/his) Singer-songwriter queer-human rights activist.
